MS symptoms: Invisible Symptom of Overheating

MelissaUmbrella

Okay. Who doesn’t know that heat and multiple sclerosis do not get along? Though invisible, warm temperatures literally melt me inside resulting in my missing activities with friends and family when they decide to go out into the heat.

Refusing to simply given in and stay behind I live by the idea, there is more than one way to skin a cat, and therefore there must be away around my limitations too. My family decided to have a metal detector outing in the badlands where temperatures heat up even the healthy. I’ve always dreamed of using a metal detector and here was my chance; I wanted to go too. My husband brought an umbrella along and saved the day for me as the sun beat down on the others. With a breeze and a few clouds, I was able to stay out, remain fairly cool and participate in the event with my family.
