MS symptoms: Intellectual Activities May Protect MS Patients from Cognitive Decline

The Kessler Foundation compared the traumatic brain injured (MS is considered to be by some) with healthy people and found the cognitive status of individuals with TBI is higher for those with increased levels of education, or “higher intellectual enrichment benefits,” prior to the brain injury according to Dr. Chiaravalloti. She goes on to say, “it may be beneficial to encourage enriching activities among those with TBI… intellectually enriching activities may protect against further cognitive decline.”
