MS symptoms: Adventures on Disability

TBSchool

BLAST from the PAST! The next two weeks I am reposting my favorite posts from the past. Enjoy as I vacation in England.

October 17, 2013 – My 1st Post
Driving down a wilderness road in rural Alaska searching for my next possible fantastic photograph, I feel alive. Returning back to the small logging town I have lived in for over fourteen years, I drive past my former school and see the classroom window where I taught for many years. For the first time since retiring on disability two and a half years ago there was no pain or longing, well maybe just a twinge. I am on disability. I am not dead. It is my time to live. This realization just dawned on me. Now it is time to figure out what I want to do this afternoon.
