Getting More Done in Less Time

P-11-iSt-47815810-Large-clock-ladyMultiple sclerosis fatigue has a way of sneaking time from my schedule. Bottom Line Personal recently posted an excellent article, “11 Clever Ways to Get More Done in Less Time”.

1 – Clear Your Mind – All those pesky details nagging at you to remember… write them down, put them on a calendar, use reminders available on today’s phones. I have a running notebook in hand, one on my phone, an electronic calendar, and a stack of stickies keeping me in line. With a clear mind I am free to think peacefully about other things.

2 – Everything Has Its’ Place – Stop wasting time looking for things. Assign everything a place and than stick to it.

3 – Store It Where You Use It – Forget putting all of the tools in the toolbox, store them and other things where they are used and needed most.

4 – Every Project in It’s Own Location – Memories come back to places they are made. Assigning a location for each project will avoid multiple memories returning all at once.

5 – Avoid Unimportant Distractions – Email, Twitter, Facebook, junk mail can all be distracting and steal time from the day or project. Set a schedule for time sucking activities with time limitations.
