Cheating Death Ignites MS

Logtruck

Last weekend I cheated death. Later that day I posted on Facebook, “Imagine this. .. a fully loaded logging truck taking a corner too fast and losing control of his trailer as it jacks across both lanes. Now image you are in the oncoming lane! That’s what happened to me this morning as I hung off the side of the road white knuckled and not breathing hoping that rig was going to stay up right, and it did. So happy to be here tonight!

Instantly, my hands and feet went numb with the feeling only returning a day later. My vision gave me trouble for a couple of days. It amazes me how extreme emotional stress can instantly bring back old multiple sclerosis symptoms. Once I had a high student take a swing at me resulting in a similar instantaneous return of long ago symptoms only they lasted a full week. Of course, I had to see the student everyday whereas the logging truck was long gone.
