Standing at the stove cooking dinner I causally mentioned to my husband, “Imagine this… warm water running through your ankle into your foot.” He looked at me strangely from the table. “Some MS symptoms are just weird,” I explained. Of course I have had many strange MS symptoms in my day. Warm spots here and there. That tingling sensation taking over my pointer finger – the first time I realized something wasn’t quite right. Then there are the small, isolated spots that itch for no reason. I swear my hearing was acute for several months making it possible for me to hear my watch tick from across the house and the clock on the wall drove me mad at night. The feeling of gravel below my feet makes the list. Tipping over backwards made life interesting, especially in places like Walmart. Oh, and I can’t forget a common one for me… one spot the size of my fingertip on my upper right lip goes numb when I am tired or stressed. Sigh! MS sure can make me feel strange things at times.
