MS symptoms: The Twelve Gifts from MS

Merry Christmas from Me to You!

The day I found out I had MS I thought my life was over. In reality, MS changed my life for the better in many ways.

The Twelve Gifts from MS:

1 – I now believe in reaching my full potential every day, no matter what that might be.

2 – I live each day; I mean really live each day. I take opportunities when they land in my lap and seek them when they do not.

3 – I forgive and move forward far more quickly.

4 – I choose happiness. This is not always easy.  It is work and takes effort and planning. By choosing happiness I have found my stress level is far lower and my overall satisfaction with life is significantly higher.

5 – I am more aware of opportunities for assisting others.

6 – I accept help from those around me – giving them blessings as well.

7 – I achieved professional goals earlier than I would have otherwise knowing my career could be cut short, and it was.

8 – I recognize what I have in life.

9 – I confront issues quickly rather than letting things build up.

10 – I discovered the idea that decisions I make today, create the life I have tomorrow.

11 – I prioritize the important people and tasks in my life.

12 – I educate those around me on the importance of my not becoming ill with the current cold or flu. Result: I am not sick often; people tell me if they are ill and try to keep their distance.
