MS symptoms: Brassandivory.org from Lisa Emrich

CarnivalPeriodically I research MS blogs to get a feel for format and information. In the wee hours this morning while suffering an unusual flushing attack from Tecfidera, I stumbled across a familiar face from my Twitter followers, Lisa Emrich and her MS blog “Brass and Ivory: Life with MS & RA”. My interest was perked.

Lisa had me smiling from the word go with her story under “About Me, the Blog and My Writings” when she labeled herself a “musician by training, professional patient by chronic illness.” I can relate. As founder of the Carnival of MS Bloggers, “a bi-weekly online publication featuring select material from the vast community of MS bloggers,” her motivation has been to connect MSers and their stories in a “vibrant meeting place.” With an impressive resume as an MS activist dating back to 2008, she has given speeches, blogged, vlogged, advised major entities such as the National MS Society & drug companies, currently writes for HealthCentral.com, and the list goes on. Spend a few minutes with Lisa and her fellow bloggers at www.brassandivory.org.
